Google Apps
With Google Apps, you can sign in to Harvest with your Google Apps credentials, enter time into Harvest, and export data to Google Spreadsheet.
Setting Up Google Apps Integration
You can sign up for Harvest through Google Apps or set up Google Apps as an existing Harvest customer. If you’re an existing customer:
- Go to Harvest’s page in the Google Apps Marketplace.
- Click Add it now and enter your domain information.
- Note: this is not your Harvest Web Address.
- Google will lead you through the integration process from there.
When adding users to your Google Apps integration, know that contractors that are not on your Google Apps domain will still be able to use Harvest. Any Harvest user that has a username and password can visit your company’s sub-domain and log in.
Using Google Apps with Harvest
Learn more about accessing and signing in to your Harvest account, entering time into Harvest, and exporting data to Google Spreadsheet via the Google Apps integration.
Note: In order to use the timesheet gadget Harvest has built for Gmail you must be running Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer 8 and up, or Opera. This gadget uses a technology called iFrames. Internet Explorer 6 and Internet Explorer 7 have limited support for iFrames, and Harvest doesn’t support the timesheet gadget for those browsers.
Creating a Harvest password for a Google Apps account
You’ll need to create a Harvest password if you plan on using any of our integrations (Harvest for Mac, the iPhone or Android apps, Co-op, etc.). Your Google Apps username and password will still sign you in to your main Harvest account even if you create a Harvest password.
To create a password:
- Go to your Profile Menu and click My Profile.
- Click the Passwords tab.
- Enter a password and confirm it.
- Your Harvest password must be at least 8 characters.
- Save your password.
