Is the 'hourly rate' the rate that contractor gets paid, or the rate the client is being charged for the project work?

Currently, Harvest doesn’t track different internal and external rates for contractors, so you’ll need to choose whether the hourly rates you track for each project are the internal OR external rates.

To help you decide which rate you’d like to track, here are a couple of pointers:

• The hourly rate will show up in all reports, so choose whichever metric is more helpful for reporting.
• If you invoice from Harvest, we recommend using the rate you’re charging your client as the hourly rate.
