Day vs. Week View
View your timesheet by Day or Week. You can do different things with your timesheet depending on the view.
Day View
The Day view will show you on what projects and tasks you’ve worked in a given day. You can:
- Start a timer.
- Enter time manually.
- Add notes to a time entry.
- Edit or delete an unlocked time entry.
- If time is locked, administrators can edit and delete in Day view.
- Navigate through time by day clicking the back and for arrows, or choosing another day by clicking the calendar icon.
- Submit a timesheet for approval.
Week View
The Week view will show you on what projects and tasks you’ve worked in a given week, but what you can do depends on whether your Timesheet timestamps are set to track time via duration or via start and end time.
Regardless of settings, you can not enter, view, or edit Notes in the Week view.
Track Time via Start and End Time
If you track time via start and end time, you CAN:
- Navigate through time.
- Submit a timesheet for approval.
You CAN NOT:
- Add time manually.
- Edit or delete time.
Track Time via Duration
If you track time via duration, you can:
- Enter time manually.
- Edit an unlocked time entry, or delete a week’s worth of time for a specific project and task.
- If rows are locked, administrators CAN NOT edit or delete in Week view even if timestamps are set to Track via duration.
- Navigate through time by week by clicking the back and for arrows, or choosing another day by clicking the calendar icon.
- Submit timesheet for approval.
