Extended API Now Available for Harvest

Want to write a migration script so you can import data from legacy systems to your Harvest account? Need to integrate Harvest with your internal bug-tracking system or HR software? You can now create these tools using the new Harvest Extended API.

The basic time tracking API has been available for some time already, allowing our widgets to make updates quickly. The Extended API allows you to create, read, update and delete data such as clients, projects, tasks, and users associated with your account. The API is implemented to follow as REST principles as much as possible. Using Firefox, you can explore the API with the helpful RestTest plugin.

Coming soon: The Harvest Reporting API which will allow you to extract your Harvest data in various ways to suit your custom reporting needs.
