Responsible (R) refers to those who actually perform the task. There can be multiple Responsible parties, but the work must be done accurately and efficiently. Accountable (A) is the person who ultimately owns the task and ensures its completion. Only one person should hold this role per task to avoid confusion. Consulted (C) includes those who provide input and guidance before the task is executed. Finally, Informed (I) are the stakeholders updated on progress without being directly involved.
