Essential Components of a Ukrainian Invoice
To ensure compliance with Ukrainian invoicing laws, an invoice must contain several critical elements. Every invoice should clearly state its unique invoice number and the date of issue. It is mandatory to include complete details for both the seller and the buyer, comprising their full legal names, registered addresses, and crucially, their Ukrainian Tax Identification Numbers (TINs). For legal entities, this is typically the EDRPOU code (ЄДРПОУ), while for individuals, it's the RNOKPP (РНОКПП) or tax ID number. The invoice must also provide a detailed description of the goods or services provided, including quantity, unit price, and the total amount. If applicable, the Value Added Tax (VAT) rate (e.g., 20% for most goods/services) and the calculated VAT amount must be clearly itemized, along with the total amount due.
